Bethel Baptist Church

Bethel Baptist Church is a striking white building on Meeting Street with a steeple pointing toward the sky and arched arcades spanning its entrance. It is the oldest continuing Baptist church in the Caribbean, with origins dating back to seventeen ninety. The church was founded by Prince Williams and Samuel Scriven, two men who had experienced slavery and later purchased land in what was then known as Delancy Town to establish a place of worship.
