National Art Gallery of The Bahamas

The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas is housed in a nineteenth-century mansion known as Villa Doyle, easily identified by its yellow facade, white columns, and distinctive wraparound verandahs. Built in the eighteen sixties for Sir William Henry Doyle, the first Bahamian-born Chief Justice, the house sits on a ridge that overlooks both the downtown harbor and the historic Over-the-Hill community.
