The Educulture Junkanoo Museum and Resource Centre on West Street is a two-story structure originally built in nineteen fifty-nine. It occupies the childhood home of Arlene Nash Ferguson, a prominent authority on Bahamian culture who spent twenty-four years on the National Junkanoo Committee. After moving out, she repurposed the residence to house an interactive educational platform dedicated to Junkanoo, the national festival of the Bahamas that dates back over two hundred years to the era of slavery.
