National Football Museum

museum

The National Football Museum occupies the Urbis building, a sharp, glass-walled structure that leans out over Cathedral Gardens. Inside, it holds the largest collection of football memorabilia in the world, including over one hundred and forty thousand objects. Among these are the original eighteen sixty-three rule book that first standardized the sport, the ball from the nineteen sixty-six World Cup Final, and the shirt Diego Maradona wore during the nineteen eighty-six World Cup quarter-final.
