The Town and Country Center is defined by three two-story steel-framed buildings with flat roofs, arranged to enclose a pedestrian-friendly central courtyard. Built in phases between nineteen forty-six and nineteen fifty-five, this complex straddles the space between North Palm Canyon Drive and North Indian Canyon Drive. It was one of the early examples of mixed-use development, designed to integrate retail shops, offices, and residential apartments into a single, cohesive site.
