The Aluminaire House is a three-story, roughly cubic structure wrapped in corrugated metal siding and elevated on six columns. Designed by architects A. Lawrence Kocher and Albert Frey, it was completed in nineteen thirty-one for an exhibition in New York City. The house was built in ten days using donated, off-the-shelf industrial materials, including aluminum and steel, intended to demonstrate a prototype for affordable, mass-produced housing.
