The McCallum Adobe is the oldest remaining building in Palm Springs. Constructed in eighteen eighty-four from sun-dried bricks, its walls feature names and symbols carved by the laborers who formed them. The structure was built for Judge John Guthrie McCallum and his family, who were the first permanent non-Native residents of the area.
