The building at four hundred ninety-nine South Palm Canyon Drive is defined by a row of inverted concrete arches that rise to support the flat, overhanging roof. Completed in nineteen sixty-one, this structure was designed by architect E. Stewart Williams for the Coachella Valley Savings and Loan Association. It sits behind a reflecting pool and fountain, a design choice intended to provide a cooling effect while creating a sense of separation from the street.
