The O’Donnell House, once known as Ojo del Desierto or Eye of the Desert, sits on a high bluff against the San Jacinto Mountains. Completed in nineteen twenty-five, this four thousand one hundred square foot residence is defined by its Mediterranean-Monterey architecture, featuring white stucco walls and red-tile roofs. It served as the winter home for oilman Thomas O’Donnell and his wife, Dr. Winnifred Willis Jenny.
