Ross Alley is the oldest alley in San Francisco, running for one city block between Jackson and Washington Streets. Its brick-paved path is easily identified by the murals painted on its weathered walls and the scent of sugar and vanilla drifting from the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory.
