Sheba Jazz Lounge at fourteen nineteen Fillmore Street is marked by a large interior wall featuring a detailed replica of the rock-hewn Bet Giyorgis church from Lalibela, Ethiopia. Opened in two thousand six by sisters Netsanet and Israel Alemayehu, the venue presents live jazz, soul, and R&B performances five nights a week. The lounge maintains a dark, intimate atmosphere with hand-painted walls, shimmery fabrics, and a fireplace, pairing its nightly music schedule with a menu of traditional Ethiopian recipes.
