Five hundred five Sansome Street, known as Two Transamerica, is a twenty-story office building that rises three hundred sixty-two feet above the Financial District. Constructed in nineteen eighty-one by architect William Pereira, the building sits on a small footprint of about one-quarter acre. It is distinguished by its corner exposure and its direct fronting onto Redwood Park, a half-acre grove of mature redwood trees transplanted from the Santa Cruz Valley in the nineteen seventies.
