Blue Bottle Coffee at one hundred fifteen Sansome Street occupies a building constructed in nineteen twelve, just six years after the earthquake that leveled much of the city. The cafe space features original grey, green, and yellow tile work and is housed within a building that remains steam-heated. Iron gates enclosing the seating area are relics from the space's former life as a bank, while the twelve-foot doorways retain their curved tops.
