Rincon Park is a waterfront stretch of green grass along the Embarcadero, defined by a distinct tilted plane of turf that slopes toward the San Francisco Bay. Opened in two thousand three, the park occupies a site formerly used by railroad and shipping companies, transforming what was once a contaminated brownfield into a public space.
