The Tadich Grill is a long-standing Financial District fixture identifiable by its dark wood-paneled interior and the sight of white-jacketed waiters navigating a boisterous dining room. Founded in eighteen forty-nine by three Croatian immigrants, the business began as a simple coffee stand on the city's Long Wharf, where the menu consisted of coffee and fish caught fresh from the bay.
