The Hamon Observation Tower rises one hundred forty-four feet above Golden Gate Park as a twisted, copper-clad spire protruding from the roof of the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum. You can identify it by its irregular, faceted shape, which is wrapped in perforated metal panels designed to weather and oxidize into a muted green color that mirrors the surrounding eucalyptus trees.
