Conservatory of Flowers

The Conservatory of Flowers is a white, Victorian-era structure of wood and glass, topped by a prominent central dome that rises above the surrounding gardens in Golden Gate Park. Opening in eighteen seventy-nine, it holds the distinction of being the oldest building in the park and the oldest remaining municipal wood-and-glass conservatory in North America.
