Miguel de Cervantes Memorial

The Miguel de Cervantes Memorial in Golden Gate Park consists of two life-size bronze figures of Don Quixote and his squire, Sancho Panza. The pair kneel on a stone pedestal, facing a larger-than-life bust of Miguel de Cervantes, the author of their story. Sculpted by Joseph Jacinto Mora, the monument was unveiled on September third, nineteen sixteen, before a crowd of over one thousand people.
