The Florence Nightingale statue, known as the Lady of the Lamp, is a painted cast stone figure standing outside the Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. It depicts the pioneer of modern nursing in her uniform, holding a lantern as she did during her rounds caring for wounded soldiers in the Crimean War.
