The Paige Motor Car Company Building sits at sixteen ninety-nine Van Ness Avenue, marked by its distinctive granolithic finish. Constructed in two phases in nineteen nineteen and nineteen twenty-two, it once functioned as a grand showroom for the Detroit-based automobile manufacturer. The structure is one of the few nearly intact relics of the city’s historic Auto Row, a stretch of Van Ness Avenue that transformed into a hub for car dealerships during the nineteen twenties.
