Bottom of the Hill

other

The two-story Edwardian building at the corner of seventeenth and Missouri streets is identified by a neon sign that gives it its name, Bottom of the Hill. Constructed in nineteen eleven, the structure sits at the foot of Potrero Hill, an area historically shaped by its proximity to shipyards and warehouses. Before its current life, the space functioned as a saloon, a soda fountain, and a family-owned restaurant.
