Seth Thomas Clock

The pendulum clock hanging within the Millberry Union at the University of California, San Francisco, is identifiable by its long, rhythmic mechanical movement and historic brass-and-wood construction. Originally installed in eighteen ninety-seven, this timepiece was built by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Connecticut. It reached San Francisco after a long journey by ship around Cape Horn, eventually finding its place at the university's medical school.
