Three hundred thirty-three West Wacker Drive is identified by its wedge-shaped footprint and a sweeping, curved facade of green glass that mirrors the bend of the Chicago River. Completed in nineteen eighty-three, this thirty-six-story office tower stands where the city’s rigid rectangular street grid meets the natural arc of the water. Architect William Pedersen designed the structure to address both, creating a rigid, stone-clad side that aligns with the nearby streets and a soft, reflective curtain wall that follows the river’s path.
