Palmer’s Bar is defined by a large mural on its exterior featuring a gentleman leaning against the front door, a landmark of the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood. Founded in nineteen oh six by the Minneapolis Brewing Company, the building spent over a century as a local tavern. It navigated the Prohibition era as a rumored speakeasy, and local legends often pointed to a secret tunnel connecting its basement to the nearby Five Corners Saloon.
