La Fonda on the Plaza stands at the southeast corner of the Santa Fe Plaza, marked by its Pueblo Revival architecture and thick, earth-toned stucco walls. This location has hosted travelers since sixteen oh seven, when the city was founded, earning it the reputation as the oldest hotel site in the United States. While early inns on this spot served as stops along the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro and later the Santa Fe Trail, the current structure dates to nineteen twenty-two.
