Merchant's House Museum

The Merchant's House Museum is a four-story brick and white marble rowhouse that stands out on East Fourth Street for its late-Federal and Greek Revival facade. Built in eighteen thirty-two, it holds the distinction of being the only nineteenth-century family home in Manhattan to survive with its interior and exterior intact. Inside, you find the original furniture, clothing, and personal belongings of the Tredwell family, who occupied the residence for nearly a century.
