Philadelphia Art Alliance at University of the Arts

The Philadelphia Art Alliance occupies the Samuel Price Wetherill mansion, an Italian Renaissance-style residence of brick and stone facing the southeast side of Rittenhouse Square. Built in nineteen oh six, the mansion became the home of the Art Alliance in nineteen twenty-six. It remains one of the few surviving grand private houses that once defined the perimeter of the square.
