Wooden Shoe Books is an anarchist bookstore and infoshop located at seven hundred four South Street. Founded in nineteen seventy-six, the shop takes its name from the Luddite practice of placing wooden shoes, or sabots, into the cogs of factory machines to halt production and protest working conditions during the Industrial Revolution.
