Signers' Walk

historic

Signers' Walk is a stretch of bronze plaques embedded directly into the sidewalk along the south side of Chestnut Street, running between South Sixth and South Seventh Streets. Each plaque, roughly one square foot in size, was created to honor one of the fifty-six members of the Continental Congress who signed the Declaration of Independence. They feature a portrait, a replica of the signer’s signature, and details about their occupation and home colony.
