Harbour View Hotel, The Rocks

The Harbour View Hotel at eighteen Lower Fort Street sits directly beneath the southern approach of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Its walls of brick and stone replaced an earlier eighteen-forty-three hotel that once stood on the opposite corner, a building that the government demolished to make space for the bridge’s massive granite pylons.
