The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia sits on the western edge of Sydney Cove in a distinctive, light-orange stone building. Its primary facade features the Stripped Classical and Art Deco architecture of the former Maritime Services Board, recognizable by the central clock tower and a stone carving of sailors and dockworkers above the main bronze doors. A jagged, modern five-story wing of varying stone panels was added to its north side in two thousand twelve.
