Yellow

Yellow occupies an Edwardian building on Macleay Street, its exterior painted a vibrant, namesake yellow as a nod to the artist Vincent van Gogh. Long before the kitchen served botanical gastronomy, this site was known as the Yellow House, an artists' collective established in the early nineteen seventies. Influential figures like Martin Sharp, Brett Whiteley, and George Gittoes once transformed these rooms into a bohemian hub, creating a legacy that designer Pascale Gomes-McNabb honored by retaining the exposed brickwork and eclectic character during the building's conversion into a restaurant.
