Tumbalong Park

Tumbalong Park features a prominent shell-shaped sound stage with large digital screens, a design that references the area's name. In the Dharug language spoken by the Eora people, Tumbalong translates to the place where seafood is found, honoring the history of the site as a location for gathering shellfish. This five-hectare park sits at the center of the Darling Harbour precinct, which served as a major industrial maritime and railway hub throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
