One hundred and forty William Street is a forty-one-story skyscraper of steel, concrete, and glass, distinguished by its square, free-standing tower and a seven-story car park annex. Completed in nineteen seventy-two, the building stands at the corner of William and Bourke Streets. It was designed by the Melbourne architectural practice Yuncken Freeman with technical advice from the structural engineer Fazlur Rahman Khan.
