The Goaßer Bankerl is a quiet, wooden bench perched on a mountainside slope, offering an unobstructed view over the rooftops of Hallstatt and the surface of Lake Hallstatt. Accessible via a short, roughly fifteen-minute climb that begins near the parking area at the base of the village, it provides a vantage point away from the densest crowds of the historic center. The path leading to this spot winds through lush, forested terrain, eventually opening up to a wide perspective of the lake and the steep mountains that hem in the village.
