Creekside Community Recreation Centre

The Creekside Community Recreation Centre is marked by a facade of curtain wall glazing and twenty thousand square feet of zinc panels that catch the light along the False Creek waterfront. This building stands at the center of what was once the Olympic Village, built to house thousands of athletes during the twenty-ten Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Before the games, the site underwent a massive environmental remediation to clean up heavy industrial soil that dated back to the early nineteen hundreds.
