The Casa de sir Francis Drake is a sixteenth-century stone mansion in the heart of the historic center of Cartagena, constructed around fifteen sixty. It stands out for being one of the earliest masonry residences built in the city, an architectural transition from the simple wood structures of the early colonial period to the fortified stone buildings that came to define the walled district.
