Palacio de la Proclamación

The Palacio de la Proclamación is a three-story colonial building defined by its wide corridors, long balconies, and terraces that overlook the sea. Located in the heart of the historic center of Cartagena, it sits adjacent to Bolívar Park and across from the Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria. Built toward the end of the seventeenth century, the structure served for generations as the seat of the Governorate of Bolívar, and local residents still frequently refer to it by that name.
