Church of Our Saviour

The Church of Our Saviour is defined by a black-and-gold spire that corkscrews counter-clockwise four times before ending in a gilded globe. Completed in seventeen fifty-two, this ninety-meter-tall structure is a masterpiece of Dutch Baroque design, built upon a Greek-cross floor plan. While the church itself was consecrated in sixteen ninety-six, it stood without its crowning spire for over fifty years.
