Vimmelskaftet

Vimmelskaftet is a street in central Copenhagen defined by an irregular, bending course that echoes the shape of a carpenter’s drill brace. In medieval times, this bend was thought to resemble a vimmelbor, a traditional tool used for drilling, and the street took its name from that tool's shaft.
