Copenhagen War Museum

The Danish War Museum occupies a massive, oblong building known as Tøjhuset, which stretches one hundred sixty-three meters along the waterfront of Slotsholmen. Built between fifteen ninety-three and sixteen oh-four by King Christian the Fourth, the structure originally served as a royal arsenal to supply the nation’s naval fleet. Its length and formidable brick construction made it a centerpiece of the king’s military harbor, protecting the weapons and provisions required for Denmark’s maritime power.
