The Opera House sits on the waterfront at Holmen, defined by its expansive glass facade and a prominent, cantilevered roof that stretches far out over the harbor waters. This building is a gift to the Danish people from the A. P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation, officially opening in two thousand and five. It now functions as one of the stages for the Royal Danish Theatre, alongside the historic Old Stage at Kongens Nytorv and the Playhouse.
