Green George af Thomas Dambo - Trold nr. 50

Green George, also known as Troll number fifty, is a giant sculpture crafted from salvaged scrap wood found directly within the community of Freetown Christiania. Created in twenty nineteen by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, the figure sits cross-legged near the neighborhood entrance with his hands held open, as if cradling something fragile. Behind him, a large mural painted in collaboration with local artist Rasmus Balstrøm displays the words, "The world is in our hands."
