The Fotografisk Center is a detached, brown-brick building featuring large industrial-style windows, situated within the area of Copenhagen known as the Brown Meatpacking District. Established in nineteen ninety-six as an association by the City of Copenhagen and the European Capital of Culture project, the institution serves as a dedicated space for contemporary art photography. Inside, the galleries are defined by original iron columns that support a timber-framed ceiling.
