Lokal Gallery is identified by its large windows and high ceilings facing Annankatu, which reveal a space designed to resemble a Finnish home. Established in two thousand twelve by photographer Katja Hagelstam, it operates as a concept gallery and store that bridges the gap between fine art and functional craftsmanship. The gallery showcases the work of contemporary Finnish and Finland-based artists, with regularly changing, curated group and solo exhibitions that focus on sustainable, small-scale production.
