Inside this workshop, Guillaume Kessler spends over two hundred hours hand-carving the eighty individual pieces that form a single violin. Trained at a specialized school in Newark and through years of practice across Europe, Kessler maintains his practice here in Strasbourg to serve musicians who require expert restoration or custom instrument creation. His work involves sculpting raw wood planks, applying varnish, and performing the delicate final montage.
