Square Louise-Weiss

landmark

Square Louise-Weiss sits along the Ill River in the Petite France district, tucked between the water and the historic Ponts Couverts. It is a small park defined by its riverside pathways and views of the surrounding medieval timbered architecture. The city renamed this space for Louise Weiss in nineteen eighty-nine, honoring a journalist and activist who spent her life working for European integration and women's suffrage.
