Quai Saint-Nicolas

other

Quai Saint-Nicolas is defined by a row of tightly packed, historic half-timbered houses that stretch along the bank of the River Ill. These residences, many dating to the seventeenth century, feature traditional wooden galleries and oriel windows that reflect the long-standing architectural heritage of Strasbourg. The quay serves as the setting for the Alsatian Museum, which occupies several of these interconnected houses to display regional artifacts, staircases, and domestic spaces.
