The Pierre Grenier Cemetery is defined by a dense canopy of five hundred trees, the vast majority being plane trees, spread across its seven hectares. Established in eighteen eighty-nine, the site was created to provide additional burial space for Boulogne-Billancourt when the older cemetery at the Rue de l'Ouest became completely saturated.
