The Théâtre du Garde-Chasse sits behind a shaded square, its facade echoing the architecture of the Grand Trianon at Versailles. Designed by architect Léopold Bévière, this Third Republic style building was commissioned in nineteen oh two by Mayor Eugène Decros. It occupies the former garden of the nineteenth-century novelist Paul de Kock, whose bust stands near the building today.
